A WOMAN has revealed how she bravely decided to give up everything living life on her own terms in a motorhome.

Siobhan Daniels, 63, admits that it was a drastic change but says she is now happier than ever.

The retired BBC South East reporter from Tunbridge Wells, Kent, made the switch to the alternative lifestyle three years ago when she felt "anxious, weepy, angry with the world".

She bought the two-berth Auto-Trail Tribute motorhome - named Dora the Explorer and has travelled across the country ever since.

Her new home includes a full-sized shower, fridge freezer, and hob.

Speaking to the Guardian, the single mum explained that she felt unhappy at work and overwhelmed following the death of her mum and elder sister.

She said: "I was pretending a life, just to get through.

"You couldn’t have a difficult conversation and say ‘I’m struggling’.

"I was absolutely done. Burnt out. I don’t want any woman to feel what I was made to feel.”

That's when she made the drastic decision to swap her flat for a life on the road.

And even though she admits she misses her daughter Sammy and a hot bath she is happy with her choice and has not regretted it.

Siobhan often shares glimpses of her life on the road with her Instagram followers.

She said: "I’ve made a lifestyle choice to live with very little, to be free and to travel. And I’ve never been happier."

Siobhan who is a pro-age campaigner believes ageing is "a privilege" and added: "I’ve got loads of wrinkles around my lips but that’s not a negative.
