A MASSIVE fire has broken out at a derelict UK holiday hotspot in a seaside town.

Clouds of smoke could be seen billowing into the sky from miles away, with flames leaping from Devon's former Seaton Heights resort.

Crews raced to the old holiday spot around 4pm today, with firefighters working to extinguish the inferno.

The holiday camp was a much-loved spot for families until it closed in 2005.

It has sat empty ever since, with hopes it will one day be revamped.

At the peak of the blaze, there were six fire engines fighting the blaze.
