MURDER cops investigating the Hogmanay shooting of gangster Marc Webley have arrested two people in a late-night swoop.
The slain hood, 38, was shot to death while leaving a Hogmanay party at his local pub on West Granton Road in the capital while a second man, 39, was also wounded.

The scene around the pub was locked down by police in white forensics suits as they probed the incident.
Major crimes detectives confirmed yesterday two people, a 32-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, have been arrested in connection with his death.
Gun cops swooped on a flat in the capital’s Gorgie Road on Thursday night armed with rifles and shields before leading the pair away in handcuffs.
The arrests come just days after investigators found the suspected getaway motor involved in the alleged murder in a nearby estate.
We previously told how Webley - who taunted his own rivals to “come and get him” - appeared to predict his own death in a series of videos posted to social media just weeks before he was allegedly gunned down.
He uploaded tearful footage where he says he will “die happy” and tells his two sons that he loves them.
Webley’s ex, lotto winner Jane Park, also posted a series of tributes to him on her Instagram account after his death.
Police say their enquiries into the shooting are still ongoing.

Detective Superintendent Graham Grant, Major Investigation Team, said: “We’d like to thank the local community for their support and patience while enquiries are ongoing.
“There will continue to be an increased police presence in the area and anyone with further concerns should speak to officers, call 101, or in the case of an emergency, 999.”
Webley was previously jailed for an attempted gun murder and an intimidation plot.
In 2004, the slain hood was at the centre of a turf war with another thug who can’t be named for legal reasons.
It culminated in 2005 with him firing a gun at a rival, hitting him once. He was caged for 11 years.
After he was freed from jail, Webley was caged for a further six months for trying to intimidate a man into handing over £1,000 at a garage.
And in 2022, he was cleared of a double murder bid after a witness claimed she could not identify him.
