POLICE have launched an investigation after a woman was raped in a skate park last night.

A woman says she was walking in Ipswich at around 10.30pm yesterday when a man began to follow her.

He reportedly approached her and led her to a skate park on Stoke Bridge, where he raped her.

Cops are investigating the alleged assault and a polcie cordon is in place.

Anyone who may have seen a man and a woman in this area between 10pm and 11.30pm last night, or anyone who may have been in the skate park between these times is asked to come forward.
